1913 The Glasgow Patent Moulders' Blacking Company Limited was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £4,000, to take over the business of the Glasgow Patent Moulders' Blacking Company, and to carry on the business of ironfounders' blacking manufacturers.[1]

1922 Managing Director: John MacEwan. Specialities.— Patent moulders' blacking, plumbago, etc., graded coke for sulphuric acid plant.

1925 A new company, the Glasgow Patent Moulders' Blacking Company (1925) Limited, was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £3,000, to carry on business as iron, steel, coal, coke, and general merchants and commission agents.[2]
