1901 Company founded by Archibald Park Newall
1917 Became private company.
1917 Started producing "rafwires" and swaged rods and their fittings. Organised a separate company for this purpose, the Woodside Engineering Co, and acquired workshop accommodation in an existing building in North Woodside-road Glasgow. Subsequently a new factory was built on land at Possilpark.[1]
1937 Manufacturers of alloy steel bolts and nuts. [2]
1945 Advert. Manufacture of heat treated steel bolts. [3]
1961 Nut and bolt manufacturers. 700 employees. [4]
1962 A. P. Newall and Co was a subsidiary of Acton Bolt[5].
1963 Motor Show exhibitor. Fixings. Part of GKN. [6]
