Joseph Morris (c1846-1928) of the GWR

Birth of son J. R. Morris

1881 Living at 10 Bold Terrace, Chester: Joseph Morris (age 36 born Whittington, Salop), Railway, Assistant Superintendent. With his wife Elizabeth Morris (age 46 born Chester) and six children; Frances E. Morris (age 12 born Chester); Edith A. M. Morris (age 10 born Chester); Joshua R. Morris (age 8 born Chester); Edward W. Morris (age 4 born Chester); Samuel. F. H. Morris (age 6 born Chester); and Wilson Morris (age 3 months born Chester).[1]

1911 Living at 15 Montpelier Road, Ealing W: Joseph Morris (age 66 born Whittington), Retired Railway Superintendent. With his wife and two sons (both railway clerks).[2]

1928 February 26th. Died at Ealing age 83. 'The death has taken place at the age of of Colonel Joseph Morris, M.V.O., formerly Superintendent of the Line of the Great Western Railway Company. He lived at Ealing. He had four sons on the G.W.R., including Mr. J. R. Morris, Division Superintendent Chester, and Mr. S. Morris, Divisional Superintendent at Gloucester.'[3]
