Alfred Thomas Blackall (1858-1936) of the GWR

1858 Born at Reading the son of Thomas Blackall, Signal Engineer, GWR.

Ed. Richmond House Sch., Reading.

1922 First Pres. I.R.S.E., Signal and Telegraph Engr., G.W. Rly.; Training: With G. W. Rly. Trevethick Premium Inst.C.E. Career: In charge of Signalling on G.W. Rly. since 1897, and Telegraphs since 1903.

1923 Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and signal and telegraph engineer for the Great Western Railway.[1]

1936 Died at Newport.
