Wednesbury Oak Iron Works
Owned by Phillip Williams and Sons
1873 Walter Williams of the Wednesbury Oak Ironworks of Tipton produced the ironwork for the Buffalo River Bridge, King William’s Town, Cape Colony. It was a single lane, wagon bridge with two spans of 90 ft. It was designed by the London Consulting Engineer, Henry Wakefield.[1]
