- 1899 Hookways moved to Hoe Street, Walthamstow.
- 1899–1900. The firm built a factory on Forest Road, Walthamstow, and originally made collars, braces, and umbrellas.
- 1929 Listed Exhibitor. Manufacturers of Shirts, Collars, Pyjamas, Umbrellas, Parasols, Braces, Belts, Rug Straps. Sole Makers of Whiteolin (self-washing) Collars. Korton and Corinthian one piece Collars. (Stand No. S.73) [1]
- By 1949 the company was specializing in high-grade poplin shirts.
