1857 First line opened, a 5ft 6 in gauge line.

1890 Acquired by British interests.

By 1923 the Buenos Aires Western Railway was one of 4 British-owned railways with headquarters in Buenos Aires, which ran west of that city, serving Liniers, Moron and Moreno.

1931 One of the Anglo-Argentine Railways[1]

1933 Joint organisation formed with the Buenos Aires Great Southern Railway
