George Mackay (c1843-1931) of G. Mackay and Sons

1911 Residing at 8 West Park, Harrogate: George Mackay (age 68 born Largs), Carriage Builder and Motor Engineer. With his wife Mary and their three sons George Henry Mackay (age 27 born Harrogate), Motor Engineer; Frederick Mackay (age 25 born Harrogate), Motor Engineer; and James Mackay (age 24 born Harrogate), Motor Engineer.[1]

1931 Died. 'The funeral of Mr. George Mackay, chairman of directors of G. Mackay and Sons, Ltd., motor engineers, Harrogate, and a founder of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Harrogate, took place yesterday Harlow Hill Cemetery, the Rev. J. Mitchell conducting the service. Mr. Mackay was 88 years old.'[2]
