  • 1893 Company was incorporated.
  • The 9.5 mile line ran from the H&BR at Drax to the GNR at Ardsley and was a local project set up by the Charlesworth family for the needs of their collieries. It opened in 1895.[1]
  • 1908 The line is a little over 9 miles in length. [2]
