1818 Company established.

1947 The company went public. According to the abridged prospectus, the business was founded in 1720 and had two mills in Leicester (Bond Street and Abbey) and one (Anker) in Nuneaton, and carried on business as worsted spinners for the hosiery trade in all its branches.[1]

1957 Acquired George Lee and Sons.
