Coal Research Syndicate
1935 Coal Research Syndicate, Ltd., built a low temperature carbonisation pilot plant at Mansfield, consisting of two retorts - these were used for experimental work, with a view to extension in accordance with experience gained.[1]
1936 A report was issued by Director of Fuel Research on the results of a test carried out on one of the retorts of a plant.
1937 Sold rights to the the low temperature carbonisation process for making Rexco smokeless fuel to National Carbonising Co
