James Welby Madeley (1871- ) M.A., M.Inst.C.E., M.Am er.S.0.E M.Water E., Special Engr., Corpn. of Madras;

1871 Born son of James C. Madeley, M.Inst.C.E.

Educated at Spondon House Sch., Dulwich Coll., Cambridge University.

Pupil to James Mansergh

1897-1901 Resident Engineer, Elan Valley Waterworks for Birmingham; Resident Engineer, Distribution Works, Birmingham;

1903-7 Resident Engineer, Stockport Waterworks

1907 Special Engineer, appointed by Secretary of State for India to design and construct Water and Drainage Works for City of Madras.

Consulting Engineer, in Madras for Malayan Government.

Consulting Engineer. in Madras to S. Indian Rly., etc.
