Bath Power Station

1890 The station was originally built and operated by the City of Bath Electric Lighting and Engineering Company Limited.

1897 The City of Bath Corporation assumed ownership.

The power station was redeveloped several times, including a major rebuilding with new equipment in the 1920s.

1930 'The Electricity Department of the Bath Corporation has placed an order with Messrs The Brush Electrical Engineering Company, Limited, Falcon Works, Loughborough, for a 7,000 KW, Brush-Ljungstrom turbo-alternator. This is the fifth set of Brush-Ljungstrom manufacture to be installed by this Corporation.—"Engineering." '[1]

The station was closed in the late 1960s and was subsequently demolished.
