Alexander Christie (1789-1859), iron master, of Devon Iron Works (Clackmannanshire)
1805 Practical manager of the Calder Iron Works from the year 1805 to 1841,
1820 January 4th. Marriage of 'Mr. Alexander Christie, Calder Iron Works, to Isabella, daughter of Mr. John Robertson, Lennoxtown, Campsie.[1] At Old Monkland, Lanarkshire.

1835 The co-partnership at Calder was dissolved
1851 Alexander Christie 61, Iron Master , lived in East Side House, Clackmannan, with Isabella Christie 59, Alexander Thomson 23, colliery overseer, Visitor[2]
He had been engaged in the iron trade for forty-five years, with but a few months intermission.
