1970 Started trading

1970 After 8 months trading, offered shares to the public[1]

1971 Store in Oxford Street, London, and new stores in Southend and Basingstoke[2]

By 1978 had a wholesale division: I. and M. Steiner. Two new warehouses opened in preparation for further expansion.[3]
