1957 Milletts (Hounslow) Ltd was incorporated.

1958 Renamed Milletts (Western) Ltd.

at some point name changed again

1970 Greenfield Milletts started trading

1970 After 8 months trading, Greenfield Milletts offered shares to the public[1]

1971 Store in Oxford Street, London, and new stores in Southend and Basingstoke[2]

By 1978 had a wholesale division: I. and M. Steiner. Two new warehouses opened in preparation for further expansion.[3]

1978 Planned to have 60 branches by the end of 1979[4]

1979 Name changed to Greenfields Leisure Ltd

1984 Acquired BCL Holdings, parent company of Blacks Camping and Leisure[5]

1984 Renamed Greenfield Blacks plc
