General Steel
Commander was a motorcycle produced in 1952 by General Steel of Hayes, Middlesex.
Of dramatic design and style, this machine appeared at the Earls Court Show. Innovatively styled but with pedestrian engineering, it had the engine hung from a spine frame and enclosed by a plated grill, and was fitted with a very run-of-the-mill Villiers engine of either 99cc or 122cc. Nothing further came of it.
