William Kitching and Alfred Kitching took over the family business of W. and A. Kitching.

William Kitching was a director of the Stockton and Darlington Railway from 1823.

1827 William Kitching, Ironmonger and Iron and Brass Founder of Market Place, Darlington [1]

1828 William Kitching of Tubwell Row, Darlington listed under Ironmongers and Jewellers. [2]

In 1831 involved with an incident with runaway wagons and then he is described as a man of massive dimensions weighing some 18 stone.

1850 Q3 William died
