Stanley Edge
1903 August 5th. Born at Rowley Regis the son of Elijah Edge, a school teacher
1917 Left school and entered the Austin drawing office as assistant to Jack Clarke, the engine designer
1921 September. Transferred to Lickey Grange to work on the ideas by Herbert Austin for the Austin 7
1925 December. Edge left Austin and joined a firm of agricultural engineers. He returned to Austin the following year.
