1873 The company was founded by Henry Bateman Massey FRAS

The company was well known for their light-type engineering tools but also produced a small launch engine

At one time the works employed 38 persons and was powered by a portable steam engine from William Tuxford and Sons

1893 Premises destroyed by fire

1970 The founder died and was succeeded by his son William Burt Massey

1946 The company was absorbed in to P. B. Bettinson and Co
