1969 Acquired Fletcher Houston[4]

1970 Acquired Motive Electric Services, and Norton Industries of Wolverhampton[5], A. Wells, makers of toys and plastic housewares[6], Perks and Stokes, scrap merchants. All iron and steel activities were concentrated in the Norton business. Acme Conveyors and Construction of Kingswinford were part of the group.
