- 1937 Listed Exhibitor - British Industries Fair. Electrical Accessories Plugs, sockets, Switches. Metal Turnings for general engineering trades. Aeroplane and Motor Component Parts. Plastic Mouldings, Insulators, Stampings, Wireless Component Parts, Jigs, Tools and Moulds of various kinds.
- 1945 Closely associated with Philco Radio and Television Trust including exchange of directors. Had acquired a large interest in General Accessories Co Ltd of Bristol; considerable R&D expenditure by way of separate company - P.R.T. Laboratories Ltd, the central research organisation of the Philco group[1].
- 1946 Patent - Improvements in or relating to socket members for electrical pin-plug and socket connections.
- 1946 Patent - Improvements in or relating to holders for thermionic valves.
- 1949 Heavy losses by the parent company Radio and Television Trust necessitated sale of British Mechanical Productions Ltd.
- 1952 AEI's subsidiary Edison Swan Co purchased British Mechanical Productions Ltd and its subsidiary General Accessories Co Ltd, which made electrical accessories under the Clix brand and radio and television components, thereby filling a gap in AEI's range of products[2].
