Edmund Leahy

1846 Edmund Leahy patented an "adaptation of a series of short rails to the wheels of carriages, which rails were linked together id a manner somewhat resembling an endless chain." Each wheel was always to bear on a.t least one of the rails or links of the chain. [1]
