Market Weighton and Beverley Railway

Originally part of the proposed Yorkshire and North Midland Railway line from Beverley - Market Weighton - York line. The Market Weighton - York was built by Jackson and Bean and opened in 1847

1862 The North Eastern Railway gained a renewal of the powers granted to build a line from Market Weighton to Beverley.

The line ran via Goodmanham, Cherry Burton to Beverley. The 11 mile (18 km) branch was opened on 1 May 1865.

1965 Services were withdrawn
