William Henry Scott (c1829-1902) of Scott Brothers

WILLIAM HENRY SCOTT died somewhat suddenly on August 16, 1902, at his residence, St. Oswin's, Tynemouth, at the age of seventy-three years.

Mr. Scott, who was head of the firm of Scott Brothers, Limited, Newcastle-on-Tyne, was one of the best known commercial men of the Tyneside, having been connected with the commercial life of Newcastle for over half a century.

He was a member of the North-East Coast Institution of Engineers and Shipbuilders, and was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1878.
