1838 December 18th. Born at Keighley the son of Roger Slingsby (1810-1843) and his wife Sarah Ellen Fernside (1811- )
1867 Married Hannah Crossley
1881 Living at 18 Malven Place, Keighley: Thomas Slingsby (age 42 born Keighley), Worsted Spinning Manager. With his wife Hannah Slingsby (age 40 born Keighley) and their four children; Frank Slingsby (age 10 born Keighley), Worsted Spinner; Charles Slingsby (age 8 born Keighley); Walter Slingsby (age 7 born Keighley); and Fanny Slingsby (age 1 born Keighley). Also his mother-in-law Susannah Crossley(age 74 born Keighley).[1]
1899 Death of his eldest son Frank Slingsby, age 29, the mill manager of Ira Ickringill and Co, in a cycling accident.
1911 Living at Norwood House, Keighley: Thomas Slingsby (age 72 born Keighley), Retired Worsted Spinner - Employer. With his wife Hannah Slingsby (age 70 born Keighley) and their son Charles Slingsby (age 38 born Keighley), Worsted Spinner - Employer. Also their two grand-daughters; Bertha Slingsby (age 19 born Keighley) and Annie Jacques Slingsby (age 15 born Keighley).[2]
1916 November 21st. Died. Of Norwood House, Keighley. Probate to Charles Slingsby, Worsted Spinner, and Walter Slingsby, Malleable Ironfounder.
