Wylfa Nuclear Power Station

Stands on a 20.8 hectare site on the north coast of Anglesey between Holyhead and Amlwch.

The last Magnox power station to be built in the UK

2104 Wylfa is the last operational Magnox station in the world. The site has only one running reactor and two operational turbine generators, but with an output of around 460MW can supply more than 20 per cent of Wales' electricity needs.

Wylfa is also responsible for the 30MW Maentwrog hydroelectric station near Blaenau Ffestiniog.
