1952 The Norris Brothers, Ken and Lew), established a design consultancy; their brother Eric, an accountant joined them; subsequently they ran Norbro Engineering and then Worcester Controls[1]
1955 The Norris Brothers designed a Bluebird hydroplane boat which was driven by Donald Campbell, setting a water speed record on Coniston Water, and on 6 occasions thereafter
1955 K. W. Norris and L. H. Norris[2] began work on the design of Bluebird C.N.7, a gas turbine powered car, for Donald Campbell to attempt the land speed record[3]
1958 Designing the Bluebird car for Donald Campbell to attempt the land speed record[4]
1958 of Burgess Hill; patent on apparatus for manoeuvering flexible pipes (with Lewis Hunt Norris)
1960 Completed the Bluebird car.
1963 Patented with BP a method of making potable water from sea water
Donald Campbell worked closely with Kenneth Norris on the design of the Bluebird hydroplane in which he met his death in 1967[5]
1967 The next project was to have been a rocket-powered supersonic car[6]
