Byrne Brothers India Rubber Co
of Aston, Birmingham
1896 Company founded by E. J. Byrne
William Harvey Du Cros (who had helped to form the Pneumatic Tyre and Booths Cycle Agency Ltd.) also provided finance to Byrne Bros, a Birmingham business engaged in the production of general rubber goods.
1896 Byrne Bros was acquired by the Rubber Tyre Manufacturing Co which was then floated on the stock market[1]. The company was based at Para Mill with the intention of building a new factory, Manor Mills, alongside it. The company's freehold works were built by William Tranter, gun and pistol manufacturer.
