WALTER EVERS WARDEN, J.P., was born in 1841, being the son of the late Mr. William Marston Warden, an Honorary Member of this Institution so far back as 1848.
He was educated in this country and in Germany, and commenced his business career with Messrs. Joseph Warden and Sons, of Birmingham, and with the Phoenix Bolt and Nut Co., Handsworth, Birmingham.
In the conduct of these businesses he was associated with his brother, the late Mr. Arthur Warden, and he was also for some time chairman of the Metropolitan Bank of England and Wales, of which his father had been chairman before him.
Mr. W. E. Warden took little part in public affairs, but was a prominent figure in commercial and banking circles in Birmingham for over half a century.
Mr. Warden died on 23rd July 1925.
