1984 GKN Replacement Services Ltd. changed its name to GKN Autoparts Distribution Ltd.

1989 Name changed again to Autoparts Distribution' Ltd.

1990 became Partco Ltd

1995 The company became Partco AutoParts Ltd.

1996 Acquired Serck Marston, distributor of radiators

1997 Acquired Brown Brothers, maker of car components, which means the company had trebled in size since flotation in 1994[1]
