Robert Tasker (c1785- ) of Tasker and Fowle

c1785 Born at Stanton, Wiltshire

1809 Robert Tasker took over the forge owned by Thomas Maslen at Abbotts Ann, near Andover

1811 Married Martha Fowle

1830 Machinery valued at £2,000 was demolished at Tasker's Waterloo Foundry at Upper Clatford in the 'Swing Riots'

1836 Robert Tasker retired from the iron foundry business which was continued by William Tasker and George Fowle and traded as Tasker and Fowle

1851 Living at Waterloo House, Upper Clatford, Andover (age 66 born Stanton, Wiltshire), Retired Iron Founder. With wife Jane (age 38 born Bullinton, Hampshire). Two servants. [1] Note: Same / adjoining house to George Fowle, his brother-in-law
