1895 Company founded by Hiram Maxim to make silencers

1959 The British offshoot was a subsidiary of Frederick Braby and Co; supplied heat exchanges for marine use (see advert)

1962 The Maxim division of AMF International designed and supplied evaporators made by Frederick Braby and Co for the "Transvaal Castle"[1]
