1964 Systems Programming Ltd was founded in London
1967 Opened an office in Nottingham, to enable small groups of companies to share a computer[1]
1968 Set up Central Computer Services (Highlands) Ltd in Inverness to provide a full range of computer management services[2]
Became known as SPL International
1970 Simon Engineering acquired 76 percent interest in the company[3]
1977 Simon Engineering sold the company to NDC Systems SA of Canada and the National Enterprise Board[4]. Joined Insac, the NEB's marketing organisation for software companies[5]
1984 The holding company which owned SPL was sold to [{System Designers International]], a 20 month old private company[6]
