Muntz and Purden
Philip Frederick Muntz, partly on the advice of Matthew Boulton, bought a share in the firm of Mynors/Minors and Robert Purden, merchants. The firm was afterwards widely known as Muntz and Purden.
1791 The firms of Minors and Ravee and Minors, Ravee and Purden were dissolved; the business was carried on by Ravee, Muntz and (Joseph) Purden[1]
1806 The firm were tenants of the warehouse in Great Charles Street, Birmingham[2]
1863 Henry Adolphus Muntz left the partnership which was carried on by Philip Henry Muntz[3]
1875 NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, Philip Henry Muntz, Member of Parliament, and Philip Maurice Muntz, carrying on business as Merchants, at 11, Great Charles-street, Birmingham, under the style of Muntz and Purden, has been dissolved, by mutual consent, as from the 31st day of December last. All debts will be received and paid by the said Philip Henry Muntz, by whom the business will in future be carried on.—As witness our hands this 4th day of January, 1875."[4]
