Edward Steer (1851-1927)

1851 Born in Stoke Newington, son of Charles Steer and Martha Nettlefold; brother of Charles Steer; nephew of John Sutton Nettlefold, the founder of Nettlefold and Chamberlain

1868 Edward Steer joined the business [1] of Nettlefold and Chamberlain.

1877 Married Augusta Pemberton; they had 5 children

1885 Laid out the new Rogerstone works of Nettlefolds

1921 Elected chairman of Guest, Keen and Nettlefolds on the death of the previous chairman[2]

1927 Died at home in Monmouthshire
