c1840 Born in Batley Adwalton, Yorks., the son of James and Sarah Hudson

1881 Engineer & Iron Founder, Employing 70 Men & 6 Boys, living in Headingley with Hannah Hudson 28, Percy Hudson 6, Walter Hudson 5, Gertrude Hudson 3, Robert Arthur Hudson 9 mo[2]

1888 Joined I Mech E

of Gildersome Foundry, near Leeds; and Weetwood Mount, Headingley, near Leeds.

His 4 sons succeeded to the management of the business - Robert, Percy, Walter and Edward Hudson.

1911 Engineer, employer, lived in Headingley, Leeds with Hannah Hudson 58, Emily Gertrude Hudson 32[3]
