George Stothert (1786-1858) of Stothert, Rayno and Pitt
Son of George Stothert, who had established a ironmongery business in Bath.
1815 George junior established the Horse Street Foundry in Bath. He played an important role in encouraging and helping his young cousin Edward Snell in his engineering career.
1826 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, George Stothert and Henry Stothert, of the City of Bath, Iron Founders, was dissolved by mutual consent...'[1]
