1834 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, William Crawshaw Holt and Adam Battinson, both of Warley, in the Parish of Halifax, in the County of York, Machine-Makers, trading under the name and firm of Holt and Battinson, was this day dissolved by mutual consent; all debts due and owing to and from the said Copartnership will be received and paid by the said William Crawshaw Holt, who is duly authorised to receive and pay the same, and by whom the business will in future be carried on upon the premises...'[1]
