1919 Founded his own company dealing with high vacuum, the start of a new industry in the UK - Edwards Equipment and Services
The business became Edwards High Vacuum
Founder member of the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers
1958-9 Master of the Worshipful Company
1966 Died at home in Horley
