William Murgatroyd (c1801-1865)

1845 Of Birks Hall, Bradford. Director of Leeds and Bradford Railway.[1]

1848 Built Bankfield House (2017 ia a hotel).

1851 Living at Bankfield House, Bingley: William Murgatroyd (age 50 born Bradford). Wool Stapler and Alderman of the Borough of Bradford. With his wife Sarah Murgatroyd (age 50 born Bradford) and their two children George Murgatroyd (age 19 born Bradford), Wool Stapler, and Martha Murgatroyd (age 22 born Bradford). Three servants.[2]

1854-56 Mayor of Bradford

1861 Living at Bankfield House, Bingley: William Murgatroyd (age 64 born Bradford), Magistrate. With his wife Sarah Murgatroyd (age 64 born Bradford). Four servants.[3]

1865 April 26th. Died, of Bank Field.
