John Wells Wainwright Hopkins
John Wells Wainwright Hopkins (1863-1946) English civil engineers and Conservative politician of 80, Regent's Park Rd., London NW1, and later of New Place, Lingfield.
Co-founder of Evans, Livock and Co.
1894 Married Ethelind Mackern. They had two sons and one daughter together.[1]
Both sons died in action in 1916 and 1942, leaving no heir to his title.[2] Arthur Mckern Hopkins (1899-1916) was a Lieutenant in the Royal Lancashire Regt and killed 18/11/16 on the Western Front. A younger son J W Hopkins (1911-42) was a barrister and Captain in the RHA and killed 14/6/42 in North Africa. [3][4]
1946 Hopkins died on 16th February aged 83 at his home in Lingfield, Surrey.[5]
