1860 'Boiler Explosion at Middlewich — On Wednesday, a boiler explosion took place at Middlewich, at the foundry of Mr. Samuel Heath. Mr. Heath was dreadfully mutilated, and little hopes are entertained of his recovery. His son Henry was found dead in the ruins of the building, which is entirely destroyed; and his son WilliauHies a precarious state.'[1]
