George Foster Pedley (c1871-1940)

Born the son of George Joseph Pedley, a Manufacture, and his wife Lucy

1900 of Daimler Motor Co

1906 Married at Paddington to Lilian Maud Lizzie Bennett

1907 During the spring G. Foster Pedley corresponded with Robert Falcon Scott regarding the design and use of motor sledges for polar exploration. Scott was to take motor sledges with him on the British Antarctic Expedition, 1910-1913.

1911 Living at Halstead House, 6 Leigh Park Road, Leigh On Sea, Essex: George Foster Pedley (age 40 born Harborne, Staff), Consulting Automobile Engineer - Automobile Journalism. With his wife Lilian M. L. Foster Pedley (age 35 born Charlton, Kent). One servant.[1]
