1898 Alexander Meadows Rendel took his youngest son into partnership, the firm becoming Sir Alexander M. Rendel and Son

1898 A partnership was also formed of Sir Alexander Rendel and Frederick Ewart Robertson as Rendel and Robertson.

Responsible for large amount of railway material made for India in Britain and the Continent.

c.1902 Works in Gloucester, Bristol, and South Wales constructing large quantities of rolling stock for Indian railways.

1903 Cyril Hitchcock supervised the design of locomotives and rolling-stock for the Indian railways.

1910 Ordered a Fairlie-type locomotive for the Mexican Railways from Vulcan Foundry

1912 When Robertson died the firm became Rendel, Palmer and Tritton
