1840 Born in Ashton-under-Lyne the son of Ralph Hall and his wife Mary

1871 Living at Barnsley: (age 31 born Ashton-under-Lyne), Engineer and Iron Founder. With his wife and three children).[1]

1901 Living at 29 Victoria Road, Barnsley: Edward Hall (age 60 born Ashton-under-Lyne) Mechanical Engineer and Ironfounder - Employer. With his wife Anna Maria Hall.[2]

1901 July 12th. Died. Of Victoria Road. Probate to his widow.

1901 'The death of Mr. Edward Hall, sole surviving partner of the firm Walter Hall and Co, Railway Foundry, Barnsley, took place his residence, The Cottage, Victoria Road, Barnsley.'[3]
