1865 Thomas Chivers left the partnership with his father, Jacob[1]

1877 Dissolution of the Partnership between Jacob Chivers, Thomas Chivers, and Alfred Charles Bright, carrying on business at the Gwendraeth Works, Kidwelly, in the county of Carmarthen, as Iron and Tin Plate Manufacturers, under the style or firm of Jacob Chivers and Son. Thomas Chivers carried on the business alone under the same style or firm of Jacob Chivers and Son.[2]

1877 Partnership dissolved - Jacob Chivers and Son, Kidwelly, iron and tin plate manufacturers — Jacob Chivers and Son, Yspitty Works, near Lougher, iron and tin plate manufacturers.[3]
