1862 Business established. The original directors included Alexander Angus Croll and George Rait, Jun and Stephenson Clarke; early share holders were Dr Fraser and H. P. Stephenson[3]
1922 Directors: Sir H. Cowan, F. R. Smith, W. W. Parkinson and J. A. Macleod. Sec. F. W. Church.
1925 Parkinson and W. and B. Cowan owned 98% of the shares in the Gas Meter Co which in turn had a minority interest in the Diaphragm and General Leather Co Ltd[4].
