1861 Living at Bridge Street, New Mills: Joseph Arnfield (age 30 born Mellor, Dbys.), Mill wright employing 3 men. With his wife Eliza Arnfield (age 34 born Hayfield, Dbys.) and four children; Thomas Owen Arnfield (age 8 born Hayfield, Dbys.); John Cash Arnfield (age 3 born New Mills); Jannett Arnfield (age 4 born New Mills); and Martha Elizabeth Arnfield (age 4 born New Mills).[1]

1911 Living at Redgate, New Mills: Thomas Owen Arnfield (age 58 born Hayfield, Dbys.), Engineer (Mechanical) - Employer. With his wife Julia Jane and three children.[2]
