1824 Born in Tipton, son of Richard Smith and his wife Elizabeth.

1851 Agent, living in Brierley Hill, Kingswinford[1]

Succeeded his father as the manager of the Round Oak Works, assisted by Mr. Smith Casson[2]

1870 Living at The Priory, Dudley

c.1870 he adopted the surname Shenstone after he inherited an estate at Shenstone in Staffordshire from his father in about 1870.[3]

Moved to Sussex

1916 Died in Sussex
